TianHeng Consulting Inc, located in Ottawa, Canada, provides ISED Canadian Representative services for clients outside Canada requiring a Canadian Representative for ISED Certification purposes. This is in accordance with Canada RSP-100 or DC-01 requirements. Our IC Company Number is 11802A.
We will provide a signed Letter of Attestation to our clients as part of their IC submissions package. After the IC certificate is granted we will work on behalf of our clients and ensure that the enquiries or audit sample requests made by ISED Canada will be responded to in accordance with the ISED Canada requirements in a timely and professional manner.
The ISED Canadian Representative requirements are outlined in RSP-100 Section 4.1 and DC-01 Section 3 as below.
4.1 Canadian Representative
A Canadian representative is required when the applicant’s company address is not within Canada. The applicant shall provide a signed Application and Agreement for Certification Services (see form A) in which the details of the company representative in Canada shall be clearly identified.
The Canadian representative shall be responsible for responding to all enquiries from ISED regarding the certified product(s), including providing audit samples at no charge to ISED. The applicant shall have a valid Application and Agreement for Certification Services for as long as the certified product is offered on the Canadian market.
6. Required Canadian Representative
A Canadian representative is required when the applicant’s company address is not within Canada. The applicant shall provide a signed Declaration of conformity (DoC) and registration of terminal products (annex A) in which the details of the company representative in Canada shall be clearly identified.
The Canadian representative shall be responsible for responding to all enquiries from ISED regarding the registered terminal equipment(s), including providing audit samples at no charge to ISED. The applicant shall have a valid Declaration of conformity (DoC) and registration of terminal products for as long as the terminal equipment registered with ISED is offered on the Canadian market.
Service Plans and Pricing
1. Single IC ID
1) Standard Representative Service
US$399 / IC ID / 3 years
2) Extended Representative Service
US$499 / IC ID / 5 years
After the service term expires the renewal fee would be US$100 / year.
2. Multiple IC IDs
1) 5-ID Package: US$2,100
Includes up to 5 IC IDs, each with 5-year coverage term starting from the signed letter issuing date.
All 5 IC IDs must be used up within 2 years from the package purchase date. Unused slots will expire.
2) 10-ID Package: US$3,500
Includes up to 10 IC IDs, each with 5-year coverage term starting from the signed letter issuing date.
All 10 IC IDs must be used up within 3 years from the package purchase date. Unused slots will expire.
Note: The 5-year coverage term for each IC ID starts from the signing date of the Letter of Attestation for that specific IC ID, not from the package purchase date.
Pricing applies to standard cases only. Volume arrangements, non-standard support, and special commercial terms are available upon request.

This is a 5 digit number “3xxxx” that ISED assigns to your company. If your company does not have it yet, please go to the following webpage to apply:

Apply as “New Applicant” under ” Equipment Certification and Terminal Registration “. Proceed step by step and submit the application. Normally you will get the company number within one week. - ISED Certification Number
This number is defined by yourself. The Certification Number is in the format of XXXXX-YYYYYYYYYYY. The first part XXXXX is your company number which you will get from step 1. The second part YYYYYYYYYYY is a number defined by you. It has to be A-Z and 0-9 only, 11 digits maximum. For your information, a lot of people just choose to use the product model number as the second part of the Certification Number. - HVIN
The HVIN is just your product model number. So you should have it already.
